A relatively new diamond shape, the princess cut was developed in the 1980’s and made a great entrance on to the market as an alternative diamond shape to the round brilliant cut, particularly for engagement rings. It is the second most popular diamond shape globally and displays a high degree of brilliance with a minimum of 57 facets.

Featuring pointed corners and generally square in shape, although sometimes offered in more rectangular shapes depending on customer preference, it is a modern and delightful diamond shape.
